Light Propagation Volumes

I've had that idea a few years ago to have a volume of transfer functions that can be used to quickly propagate the lighting information. Now it turns out Crytek has recently done exactly that:

And the best thing is, some of their sketches look exactly like mine... I feel like they are monitoring what I'm thinking erm doing (they tried to hire me before, too).

Anyway, I'm glad to see that this stuff actually works, they've proven my point (after my lab, back then in my pitch talk, didn't quite believe that it's feasible :-D ).
